The 4 th of July is more than just watermelon and fireworks. Make sure your family takes time to talk about why Independence Day is significant and what it means to be patriotic. Here are a few ways to instill patriotism in young children: Even at an early age, children can learn that being patriotic means loving, supporting, and defending one's country.
